2005 All Star Fan Fest

Back in 2005 when Detroit was hosting the MLB All Star game my sister, my brother, and I went to the Fan Fest event. It was awesome. They had all kinds of different memorablia. The best was watching my brother try some of the fielding exercises. He wasn't very good! LOL

Field of dreams

In 2006 my brother was lucky enough to get a set of 4 tickets to Game 4 of the playoff series between the Tigers and Yankees. It was an AMAZING game. The Tigers eliminated the Yankees and the stadium turned into one huge party. It was truly amazing!!!

We've got Spirit!

My sister and I at the 2004-2005 Saginaw Spirit home opener. We love going to Spirit games. Its such a fun opportunity to watch future NHLers. It was designed to sort of resemble their red third jerseys that they wore that night.

The Cold War

My sister and I were lucky to be at the "Cold War" hockey game between Michigan and Michigan State back in 2001. It was an AMAZING game! It was sooooo cold, but awesome. It set the world record for the largest crowd at a hockey game!!! It was so cool to be part of that! The photos aren't great because this was pre-digital photos.

Honorary Captain

Photos from a game between the Saginaw Spirit and Niagara Ice Dogs.

Journaling says:
Before the start of the game against the Niagara Ice Dogs, the Saginaw Spirit introduced 16 year old honorary captain Eric Tien who plays for the Tri City Ice Hawks of the Great Lakes Junior Hockey League. He has been battling an extremely rare form of cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma that is mostly found in children. Eric’s dream was to someday be part of the Saginaw Spirit and that dream was able to come true for at least one night. He was given his own locker stall with nameplate and got to dress in full Saginaw Spirit gear. He participated then in the ceremonial puck drop before the start of the game. It was a very touching moment.
